The American Lebanese Language Center in Sin El Fil (ALLC-Sin El Fil) is an independent education institution registered in Lebanon. It has been in operation for 20 years providing high-quality education services to individual learners and groups from public and private sectors. We offer learners the opportunity to earn national or international certifications in a variety of programs. ALLC- Sin El Fil has been working on educational development projects for more than 10 years, in partnership with various NGOs and IGOs. Our goal is help bring the highest quality education services to local institutions and communities.
In January 2005, ALLC became a member of the International House World Organisation (IHWO), the leading language solutions provider worldwide, with 159 IH schools in 52 countries. International House Centers have a special commitment to working with teachers whose first language is not English, and working to improve the quality of language teaching provision in the state system.
The IH Certificate in Teaching English (IHC) and the IH Certificate in Teaching Young Learner and Teenagers (IHCYLT) are recognised by a number of Ministries of Education.
ALLC has a special relationship with Cambridge English, a department of the University of Cambridge and a not-for-profit organization. ALLC is the only center in Lebanon authorized by Cambridge English Language Assessment to offer CELTA/YL teacher training courses. CELTA is the leading English language teaching qualification in the world. ALLC has been running courses since 2000, training teachers from Lebanon and around the world. ALLC partnered with Cambridge English in both D-RASATI I and II.
ALLC IH Beirut has close ties with Wellspring Learning Community, the only Nursery-G12 school in Lebanon that offers the International Baccalaureate program across the continuum (PYP, MYP and DP).
ALLC IH Beirut is decreed to provide vocational training programs in Lebanon, leading to certificates validated by the Lebanese Ministry of Education and Higher Education.
ALLC IH Beirut was selected by the Italian embassy to partner with the Italian Cultural Institute for the provision of Italian courses in Jounieh and Sin El Fil, and is partners with the Goethe Institute for the provision of German language courses in Saida.
There are six ALLC IH schools (Sin El Fil, Saida, Jounieh, Jbeil, Hamra, Tyre) and three affiliated ALLC schools (Tripoli, Zahle, Dbayeh).
ALLC IH Beirut has access to education facilities around the country and can therefore operate in most areas across Lebanon, covering most of the Lebanese cazas.
